#1004: On the Run
Every day I just try and clear my head through exercise, mostly running, which I love to do because it gives me an opportunity to think things through. I know many people who have a difficult time maintaining a routine for exercise, or staying physically active due to health issues or other reasons. And I see carry over into other facets of their life as well. People come up to me and say I don’t understand. I’ve been doing these things and not seeing results. They remind me of someone who goes to the gym every day, but sits on the bench and reads a book about exercise, eating a box of donuts and then after 30 days wonders why they haven’t lost any weight. It is not about going to a place or reading about something that you want to do.
The activity is in doing the actual work and that is not easy but what better way to get motivated in the gym then having a good trainer and what better way to get motivated in life and to have a good coach. Sometimes. I need that additional kick in the butt to push me just a little bit further to get me out of that routine that says oh I can just walk around the block rather than putting on my running shoes and going a mile or two. When I get back from a run I almost always feel better, but It’s getting myself to actually do it. Sometimes it’s just putting on my shoes and that will get me going. Other times it take some more.
I want to help you get going and lift you to your highest level of activity in whatever you are hoping to do. Feel free to contact me and we can figure out a way to get you to your next best act. Remember, life is a marathon. It’s not a sprint and these exercises need to take place every day. It’s like I used to tell my kids - you don’t brush your teeth once expected to stay fixed for the rest of the week. We do our routine each day which teaches discipline and allows us to be the best that we can be.
If this motivation sounds like something you’re interested, feel free to reach out to me & we can help you take your next step.
