#1010: Trash Day

I don’t know why, but I love bringing in the trash cans after the garbage is taken away. I like to thank my garbage collectors because I don’t think a lot of people realize how much of our civilization depends upon disposing of our garbage. I truly appreciate them, but I also appreciate the fact that it’s a fresh start. I love fresh starts. I try to begin each day as a fresh start.  I’ve tried different techniques of getting rid of old things as well, like if some thing is in your closet that you haven’t worn for a year get rid of it or get rid of one item a day every day for a month, each day increasing it by the number of days on the calendar.

Those are nice techniques but I seldom stick to them. I don’t know why I hold onto old stuff. I think because it gives me comfort. Maybe memories of something that I’m holding onto that I probably should let go of. If you’re looking to let go of some old things and have a fresh start, think of it as a trash day that will set you on a new beginning to your best act ever. I can help you.  Feel free to contact me through the website, or by email at Derrick@DRCMotivation.com. My name is Derrick and I’d be happy to be your garbage man.
