#1006: Pie Versus Cake

I was eating at one of my favorite restaurants, the House of Pies, and I remembered the line I believe Adam Corolla once said that pie is better than cake. They should have birthday pies and wedding pies, and as I was sitting there, I thought he was right, and then I thought why is being right so important to me?

Many times in my life when I think I’m right I’ll dig my heels in and I’ll fight for my belief. Believing that pie is better than cake not recognizing that they’re both good and they both are wonderful to experience.  I have to let go of those old beliefs and prejudices that keep me from seeing the good in both things.  When I believe I’m right then I believe I am good. But I’m truly good by doing good so maybe by sharing my pies and cakes with others I can enjoy the moment that I’m in. Thus surrendering to what is for the possibility of what can be.  That’s how I move onto my next step. By letting go.
