#1007: Little things / Big changes

I’m not a big fan of change. I’ve often described myself as someone who dislikes two things - change and the way things are. But I know that change is inevitable and I like helping people other people learn to embrace change because I found tips and tricks through little things that make big changes.

It starts with every day tasks. When I go to the store I park farther way to allow people who need close up spaces to park and also it gives me exercise. When I go to the store and I take a cart out I always take it back and maybe one or two other ones as well. Some people witness and that seems to put a smile on their face, and I always smile back and acknowledge it. My favorite is when I go to get my mail. Often times I’m just going to check my mail and I’ll see someone carrying a big package. I’ll run up to the door and almost inevitably it seems they think I’m going to try and beat them so I can get there first and then I open the door and hold it for them and let them go ahead of me. The look on their face and the smile is worth it. The reason I do these things is not to be a good person although it makes me feel better. It’s because it’s not my nature and I have to fight that by doing little things. If you’re looking to make changes in your life, small ones or big ones, it starts with the first step and I’d love to help you take your next step to your best act whether it be your first second or third act I can help you get there.
