#1008: Giving Without Expectation

I spent a few hours driving with a friend on a destination to help some people that we both know. The most important part of the trip was hanging out with my friend and just talking for a couple hours mostly about life. I realize that the destination wasn’t the most important as I’ve said many times it was the journey and getting to know my friend a little bit better for those few hours help me to know myself more. it always seems that when I reach out to others to serve without any expectation, something happens, almost as if by accident, I find something that could help me. But I can’t do it unless I make that initial contact to reach out and to say yes to those in need.
